SSEF Jean-Pierre Chalain – KEY NOTE SPEAKER

Jean-Pierre Chalain is gemologist and specialist of diamond. Hi got his DUG diploma in 1992, and then joined the SSEF (Basel, Switzerland) where hi is now Head of Diamond department. He shares his time between expertise, research, teaching, and relations between labs and market (CIBJO, LMHC, etc.). He is involved in research on diamond conducted at Nantes (black diamond, asteriated diamonds, HPHT-treated diamond) and often provides samples for research.
