CDTEC Gabriel Angarita – KEY NOTE SPEAKER

Graduated Psychologist from Universidad de los Andes with a Master’s degree in Strategic Thinking from Universidad Externado De Colombia, Gabriel was the President of the Colombian Emerald Exporters Association for 9 years. During his tenure, he organized the First International Emerald Symposium in 2015. As the leader of the association he managed to consolidate the presence of Colombian companies in international fairs, he served on the Board of Directors of the CDTEC and currently serves on the Board the International Colored-Gemstones Association (ICA). He has actively participated in meetings of the GILC where he has been a speaker, as well as a speaker in past ICA’s Congress.
His experience in the emerald industry goes back more than 15 years. He has worked in mining projects and in national and international marketing of Emeralds. He recently assumed the direction of the Center for Research and Development of Colombian Emerald (CDTEC). He has written articles for magazines such as INCOLOR and Esmeralda magazine of national circulation.
